How does an IPL Photofacial work?

Using a small and smooth hand piece that is positioned directly over the affected areas of the skin, a broad-spectrum light will be transmitted and filtered so that the wavelength is optimized according to the patient’s skin type and adjusted to the required range for the specific skin condition. The resulting light will penetrate the tissues and will be absorbed by the melanin present in the tissues to treat pigmented lesions on the patient’s skin. The light energy is able to damage these lesions and the consequently injured tissues will be eliminated through the body’s natural metabolic processes, thereby resulting in clearer skin that is more vibrant and younger looking. How does 3D Microblading treatment work?

The result is a long-lasting illusion of sculpted brows. Two different techniques are available, 3D hair strokes and shadowing (ombre). It feels like scratching the skin. The Ideal Candidate for Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is an excellent choice for patients of all skin types and tones. Patients looking to regain healthy, glowing skin without a long healing process make a great candidate for Microdermabrasion. As with any cosmetic procedure, patients should have a clear understanding of the technique, reasonable expectations for the results, and be in generally good health.

Patients with extremely sensitive skin, diabetes, Rosacea, skin inflammation, a bacterial infection, or an active Herpes lesion should not get the Microdermabrasion procedure. A consultation appointment will be scheduled to assist in determining if Microdermabrasion is the right procedure for each individual patient’s needs.

The Microdermabrasion Procedure

Microdermabrasion takes about 45 minutes in the clinic. No anesthesia or topical anesthetic is required. After cleansing the skin, our skilled aesthetician will use a Diamond tip wand, gently exfoliate the skin and vacuum away the dead skin cells. The uniquely created diamond-encrusted tool gives a smooth, consistent abrasion without the loose particles and discomfort often associated with older Microdermabrasion devices. As soon as the treatment is complete, patients are free to return home or back to their daily activities.

Recovery from Microdermabrasion

Immediately after a Microdermabrasion treatment, the skin may be slightly pink, although this should resolve over the first 24 hours. There is no downtime required after Microdermabrasion, so patients can immediately return to work or school.

Generally, six to ten Microdermabrasion sessions are required for optimal benefit. Microdermabrasion works excellent on its own; when combined with customized facial (extraction included) based on peptides and other anti-aging/brightening components, it can provide dramatic, long-lasting results. (75 min treatment).

Prior to treatment, limiting hair removal is necessary, in addition to avoiding sun exposure before and after sessions.

All steps necessary for successful results will be discussed at your consultation. In addition, the number of sessions required will be determined after review of your target area and skin type.

Threading services are available for eyebrow shaping and cleaning, chin, cheeks and neck. Threading removes multiple hairs at once at the follicle level. Threading provides precise control and is gentle on the skin.
